Reading

We have finished one section in reading.  We have been studying Author's least  Purpose and compound sentences.  Please ask your student if they can tell you anything about these things.
Also please continue to encourage your child to read at least 20 mins. almost every night Something that you
can do to help your child with comprehension, is to ask them about what they have read.  Make sure you ask both kinds of questions, inferential ones and literal ones.  Also ask your child what a FAT question and a skinny question is. 
READ, READ, READ.  It is a proven fact, the more you read, the better you become at reading and the better reader you will become!
